- Road Less Traveled: Sustainable Transportation for Campuses. A book by Will Toor, the director of the University of Colorado Environmental Center. This book is a guide to developing alternative campus transportation complete with case studies as resources for other campuses.
- “The Smogbusters Way to the Uni” (http://www.sustainability.uts.edu.au/docs/emanners.doc) is a guide put together by students in Australia with the goal of helping students develop sustainable transportation options on campuses around the globe. The guide contains lots of tips on how to analyze a campus transportation system, and how to plan a better one.
- Commuter Connections - www.mwcog.org/commuter/ccindex.html. This website is a guide for employees and employers to encourage alternative modes of transportation as a systemic practice.
- Alternative Fuels Data Center - http://www.eere.energy.gov/afdc/. This Department of Energy website is a collection of information on alternative fuels including: Clean Fleet toolkits, alternative fuels training, and information on state and federal incentives.
- Clean Fleet Guide- http://www.eere.energy.gov/fleetguide/. This is a great place to start gathering information to encourage your school to green their vehicle fleet. It offers specs on available alternative fuels, cost analysis, and strategies to build a green fleet.
